Does it work with recipes from any website?

Almost all. If a page contains a real recipe, Sous Chef can usually read it — even without recipe markup. Paste the text if all else fails.

Will it ruin a classic dish?

Sous Chef makes surgical edits and tells you when a request is culinarily risky — then does what you ask. It's your dinner.

What happens to the original recipe?

Nothing. Edits apply to a working copy. The original is always one tap away, and you can save your version separately.

iPhone first. If you want Sous Chef somewhere else, tell us — loudly.

Do I need an account?

No. Import, edit, and cook as a guest. Sign in only when you want to keep your private recipe library.

Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of Sous Chef, provided by Niko Rekhviashvili ("Sous Chef", "we", or "us") on iOS and through supported chat services. By using Sous Chef, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

Who may use Sous Chef

You must be at least 13 years old and legally able to agree to these terms. If local law requires parental consent for a minor to use the service, that consent is required.

Your account and content

You are responsible for activity through your account and for keeping access to it secure. You retain your rights in recipes and other content you provide. You give us a limited permission to host, process, reproduce, and transform that content only as needed to operate Sous Chef and fulfill your requests.

Acceptable use

Do not use Sous Chef unlawfully; interfere with or reverse engineer the service; bypass access, safety, or rate-limit controls; introduce malware; impersonate another person; or submit content you do not have the right to use. Do not submit passwords, payment-card data, government identifiers, protected health information, or other sensitive data.

Recipes, allergies, and food safety

Recipe suggestions and edits are informational and may contain mistakes. Check ingredients, allergens, dietary restrictions, cooking temperatures, storage guidance, and preparation steps before cooking or serving food. Sous Chef is not medical, nutritional, or professional advice, and you remain responsible for deciding whether a recipe is safe and suitable.

AI-generated results

Some results are generated by AI and may be inaccurate, incomplete, or similar to content available elsewhere. Review results before relying on them. We do not guarantee that any generated result is unique or fit for a particular purpose.

Third-party services

Sous Chef can operate through services such as ChatGPT and Claude and relies on providers for authentication, hosting, storage, and AI processing. Your use of those services is also governed by their terms and policies. We are not responsible for third-party services or for changes to their availability.

Availability and changes

We may change, suspend, or discontinue features and may impose reasonable limits to protect users and the service. We may update these terms by posting a revised version with a new effective date. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised terms.

Termination

You may stop using Sous Chef and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or end access when reasonably necessary to protect the service, comply with law, or address a serious or repeated violation of these terms.

Disclaimers and liability

Sous Chef is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis to the extent permitted by law. We disclaim implied warranties where the law allows. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost data, profits, or opportunities arising from use of the service. Nothing in these terms limits rights or liability that cannot legally be limited.
